Dad maneuvered to get Mols close to her cake - but not too close! Just after this particular picture was taken, Molly succeeded in sticking her mitts into the cake when Dad was talking to GB (Grandma Baltau). Disaster was narrowly averted when Mom's quick hands stopped the wonder baby from placing the frosting in her mouth. Can you imagine what terrible fate would have befallen our tiny heroine? Perhaps a tiny smile at her first taste of sugar... (Mom is not finding this amusing). Molly was also fascinated with the candle (note that it is extinguished in this and later photos). She seemed to think that grabbing the flame would make all her birthday wishes come true... That being said, if her wish is to have lit candles on this or future cakes - she will be very disappointed.

That's one big cake for little Molly. How sad is that, to show her a big colorful sweet thing and not let her touch or taste it! What a tease daddy is! Wait... fast forward 7 years from now when you will be sitting with her at a boy band concert listening to her scream with glee, that will show you!
You two are too cute! A 6 month birthday cake! Look at how cute she looks with her little flapper headband.
