Dad and Mols went to the beach this weekend - the last weekend of Dad's spring break :(. The big baby was enthusiastic about the trip until Dad tried to get her feet wet! It turns out the big blue is still a little intimidating for little Lash, even if she is advanced in other areas :). After averting a mini breakdown with lots of scary, high-pitched, parent-baby speak (particularly frightening to neighboring beach goers), Dad managed to settle the baby onto the blanket for a few quick snap shots (see juxtaposed). And that was pretty much it for the baby! Next time, Dad will try to stretch Molly's beach tolerance to fifteen minutes - including a possible boogie board ride? Don't tell Mom...

Summertime Rolls (a little closer in SoCal!)

I absolutely LOVE this picture of Molly!! She looks adorable sucking her thumb, and the beach setting is so peaceful. Her matching hat is really cute, too! I especially like how the purple blends with the blue water. Soon Molly will love the waves, I'm sure, and I'm looking forward to the boogie board pics. :)

I was looking at my blog and we took Gabriel also when he was almost 7 months and we had the same experiences, he was ok in the sand but screamed if we even got closer to the water. I guess it's way to scary than whata we think. Her picture is much cutter though, if you see Gabriel he is all grumpy ;)
