Baracking the Vote!

Yes, Molly participated (kinda) in this most historic of elections. Let's put it this way, the other people at the polling place in Redondo Beach knew she was there. She kept shouting "Lights!" and running around the Knights of Columbus trying to get into the polling booths. She was, unfortunately, forcibly removed by her mother and father who had to vote seperately while the Lash was kept at a safe distance. Note to other parents: people at polling places do not find babies cute or amusing. Regardless, we cast our votes and what a momentus election! We are so pleased that our daughter can grow up in a country where people finally recognize the merits of all people regardless of race. I was, for the first time in a long time, truly proud to be an American.

Lashing at Manhattan Pier

"We took Molly to the Manhattan Beach Le Pain Quotidien for egg whites and marmalade and then strolled down Pier Avenue past Michael Starr and Lucky Jeans. Molly just LOVED the pier, everyone who is anyone was there..." No, we're not really that snobby but boy did we encounter a few people who were. Picture twin two years olds with matching tiger print scarves... really.

Anyhow, we actually did have fun in Manhattan. Lash was very well behaved at breakfast and kept calling herself the "baby's baby." I wondered if that was sort of like a "guy's guy" a baby who is seen as super cool by other babies? Lash loved the playing in the walk-in fountain near the restaurant and laughed her way down the pier. There wasn't really anyone special there except, of course, for Molly who we think is the most special person of all!

Seriously Though, Could She Be Cuter?

"I've got Daddy right where I want him..."

Halloween Time!

Here is our little black kitty - up well past her bedtime :). Lash actually didn't mind wearing her kitty costume around and had fun spending time with her cousins Ana and Sasha (dragons respectively). Cleo and Max did NOT find this amusing however. To them it felt like adding insult to injury...

Black Magic!

Thanks for the great kitty costume Nana. Molly loved it - although she did get a little "hots" as it was still around ninety degrees here on Halloween. Also, not so sure how much she really understood what was going on... can kids be too young to be scared? Anyhow, we had a nice time at sister Johanna's eating, drinking, and chasing the little kitty around the house to make sure she didn't fall down the stairs (only one life for this kitty!). Next year, we'll go for the real goods... candy, candy, candy, that Molly of course can share with Mom and Dad.
